About Edward Bergles
For over three decades, trumpeter Edward Bergles served as a music educator for Racine Unified School District (RUSD) in Racine County, Wisconsin. He last taught freshman and symphonic band, led the wind ensemble, and directed the jazz band at Park High School. In 2010, Edward Bergles guided the Park High jazz band to become the first group from RUSD in 20 years to earn selection to perform at the Wisconsin State Music Conference.
During his tenure at Park High, Edward Bergles also served as district music director. Earlier in his career, he taught instrumental music for RUSD elementary and middle schools and directed the bands at McKinley Middle School.
An accomplished performer, Mr. Bergles has held the position of first trumpet in the Kenosha Pops Band, the Racine Municipal Band, the Milwaukee Festival Brass, and the brass quintet Brass Nickel. He served for several years as a soloist and the corps director for the Racine Kilties Senior Drum and Bugle Corps. With the Chicago, Illinois-based group Mariah, Edward Bergles backed such artists as Chubby Checker, Linda Ronstadt, and Debbie Boone.
